Behind the lens

I make photographs in the places most people walk past — looking for the wonder, emotion, and quiet beauty that's easy to miss.

I've been making photographs since my grandfather first put a camera in my hands as a kid. I love to travel, to connect with people, and to capture the world as I find it — often in places you wouldn't think to look for traditional beauty.

I shoot both film, on a variety of vintage medium-format cameras that are collectors' items now, and digital medium format. Between raising a young family and a full career, this is the work I'll do for the rest of my life.
